Seki and Yokoi from Tonari No Seki Kun

Synopsis :-

Rumi Yokoi sits next to a guy in class who is referred to as Seki-kun, and she just wants to be able to focus during school! However, she is constantly distracted by Toshinari Seki, her neighboring classmate.

Paying attention during class is at the bottom of Seki's list of worries, as he obsesses over intricate setups he has created using a wide assortment of items, from an elaborately thought-out domino course on his desk to a treacherous war played with shogi pieces.

Yokoi desperately tries her best to focus in class, only to be sucked into his intriguing class-time 'play' time and time again.

They always seem to end up with Yokoi getting in trouble with their teacher, though, but you could say that the upside to this is that class is never dull with Seki around!

The Review:-

Firstly, let's mention that each episode of this anime is only seven minutes long, but you can't imagine the amount of entertainment packed into those seven minutes!

The storyline is very simple in the sense that it follows a girl who does her best to study for her classes. However, the guy beside her tries every day to find new innovative ways to kill time in the classroom, which always catches this girl's attention and is always a glorious display of distraction.

Some of these distractions are things you would expect to find in a classroom, while others will shock you at the audacity of Seki! The biggest shock factor, though, is that Seki never gets caught!

The artwork is pretty okay; it's nothing too grand or exotic, but we think that's what helps to make this anime. Nothing stands out particularly, but everything seems to be done well and in its place, especially in the different scenes that showcase Seki's antics during class.

The opening is catchy and sticks in your head as you continue to watch, but the one that's out of the ballpark is the ending! It's unique, and the beat is super catchy, especially when you see Seki drumming to the beat and Yokoi sneaking in a little dance.

Despite each episode being just seven minutes long, the characters are pretty distinct in their roles. Seki is pretty easy to read in his actions and antics, and Yokoi is portrayed as a pretty normal teenage girl who gets distracted by Seki's antics.

This anime is something you could watch to simply relax and have a good laugh, so check it out!

"Tonari No Seki-Kun" has been rated number 904 on the popularity scale according to My Anime List, and we're going to rate it a 8 out of 10.
